In the 15 years Marsha and I have published Just a Thought we’ve asked nothing from our readers, other than to share music, and submit your own post, should you be so inclined. Our work has been a labor of love is, as it rightly should be. But because much of the world is facing an extreme cultural and political climate now, we are asking today that you share this post with your own online connections. It’s a video of acclaimed documentary producer Ken Burns giving the recent commencement address to Brandeis University. It’s a message to Americans, but we’re hoping our non-American readers will also find it illuminating.
His address paints a clear picture as to why Trump needs to be denied a second term, perfectly pitched for anyone who purports to care about our constitutional government.
Marsha has been saying to me for months, “We must do something!”
So our blog, which in 15 years has never been used as a political forum, now unequivocally asks our readers to do something by reminding those in our own circles of the seminal importance of this coming election.
Perhaps most importantly, reach out to the younger voters you know who, on average, are disproportionately disengaged.
